The Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program is a non-profit workforce development organization dedicated to creating pathways for exceptional students into the entertainment industry.
Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program educational arts and workforce development organization that creates pathways into the entertainment, media, sports, music, technology, and creative industries through career exposure, skills development, mentorship, paid work-based learning experiences, and industry partnerships.
EICOP serves as a bridge between education and industry, partnering with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), employers, and community organizations to connect emerging talent with career opportunities across today's global creative economy.

EICOP founded under the Obama White House Initiative on HBCUs
2017
First HBCU IN LA™ Summer Cohort launches — Eight scholars placed in paid internships across the entertainment industry
2020
Shifted to a completely virtual model so students could continue to have opportunities during the pandemic
2022
Returned to in-person internships — first HBCU IN NY cohort launches in New York City
2023
HBCU IN LA Games launches — immersive gaming and esports industry experiences for scholars
2024
Program expands to Atlanta with the first HBCU IN ATL cohort
2025
HBCU IN MLB & MiLB launches — placing scholars across Major League and Minor League Baseball organizations. Hosted the inaugural LENS ON Emerging Talent Film Fellowship, guiding students through the full production process from script to final edit.
2026
Launch the HBCU IN ATL Production Assistance Certification Program with Shadowbox Studios and Backlot Academy
